What is your style?

Our style could be described as artistic storytelling. We combine our creative approach with relaxed natural shooting where no moment or detail is neglected. With our experience in a variety of photographic fields, our style is influenced by fine-art and fashion photography. We love using unique perspectives and angles, and always looking for interesting light and backgrounds to turn your wedding portraits into a work of art.

How long do we need to photoshoot?

Usually we need at least 1 hour for a photoshoot with the couple, though timing does depend on your unique requirements. We would love to have an opportunity to get to a special location to ensure that you have the perfect set of images.

Below are our guides on the duration of the wedding day shoots, so you can work your day schedule around these:

Preparation Shots – 1.5+ hours

Couples session – 1 hour to 1.5 hours (before or after the ceremony)

Family Formal Portraits –  15-45 minutes (allow 5 min per 1 group)

Bridal Party (Optional) – 15-30 minutes

When is the best time to do the couples shoot?

We love to split the shooting time into 2 parts so you get the best of your day by spending enough time with your guests while also getting the best of the light. We encourage doing the half of the couples session before the ceremony as part of the “first look”.  That way you can enjoy the rest of your day, have a chance to enjoy the cocktail hour and mingle with your guests. Then we’ll take you away just before sunset to take advantage of the most beautiful softer light.

If you have a big gap between your reception and ceremony, or you are very traditional couple, then we suggest doing an after ceremony shoot. Shooting after the ceremony gives that beautiful softer light that’s perfect for portraits.

“Day After” or Pre-Wedding shoots are becoming more and more popular. Taking the whole day gives you the freedom to explore different locations and take advantage of the most beautiful light – and all this just for the  two of you. Ask as about the Day After option and Pre-Wedding Photography Packages.

You can rest assured that we will be there to capture every important moment of your big day, so no long shot list is needed. However, if you have particular preferences or a special person on the guest list that needs our attention, please do tell us.

How many photos do we receive?

The amount of photographs depends on the package of your choice. With our Big Day Package you will receive a minimum of 500 fully edited hi-resolution images that you can print yourself, plus a set of smaller images handy to share with your friends via social media or email.

Who will photograph my wedding?

Either Olga, Katherine or Christina will be your main photographer depending on availability. It is likely that you’ll see Max as your second photographer, but he can also step in if case of an emergency. We have a base of amazing second photographers that we fully trust.

It is up to you. We all live in a digital world where everyone has a camera or a smartphone. We will do our best to work around people jumping in front of our cameras, but we would appreciate that your guests are respectful to our work process. We want you and your guests to enjoy your wedding day fully and when guests are constantly taking pictures or on their phones, they’re missing out on the wedding itself.

It is a great idea to have an ‘unplugged’ wedding – ask your guests to put their phones aside (at least for the ceremony), so they can focus on the beauty of the moment.

How long do we wait to see the photos?

At Wild&Grace, our standards are high and we take the editing process seriously. We take great care to ensure that all your edited photographs are delightful. Our digital processing takes approximately 4 weeks, though it can take up to 10 weeks during the busy summer season. Good things take time.

Why we need 2 photographers?

We are a tight-knit team and we work our magic together, covering two angles at the same time and ensuring that we have every moment captured. A huge point of difference is that we can be with both counterparts on the morning at two different locations.

Are you going to publish our photos on your website or social media?

We love our work and perceive it as an opportunity to express our talents and skills. As we are working on a limited number of weddings per season and every wedding embodies a point of our creative interests, we give preference to the weddings we can share and talk about.

What happens if it rains?

They say that if it is raining on your wedding day you will surely have a happy marriage and your love will never fade away. As for us, it is another opportunity to express our creativity. We always have a plan B.

What rights do I have to the digital files?

You have the right to print and share your images whenever you want, wherever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit, use them for any commercial purpose or publish your images without our written consent. If your wedding vendors are requesting some images to use for their advertising, please, send them our way, so we can provide the best solution to their needs.

Do you travel?

Sure! Our team is Auckland based but we are more than happy to travel in New Zealand and overseas.

Do you require a meal at the reception?

As all human beings, we need to eat to perform well. We’d appreciate if you provide us with a hot meal when wedding coverage is longer than 6 hours. If the meal is not provided, we would need to leave the venue for up to an hour to get one.

Unfortunately, we do not. We have only a limited number of dates available so all the bookings work on a ‘first in, first served’ basis.

How we can book you?

We would love to meet you in person and have the chance to get to know each other. If you don’t live in Auckland, we can use Skype. To secure your date, a 30% deposit and a signed contract is required. The final payment is due is 28 days prior to your wedding for New Zealand clients and 2 month prior for overseas packages.

If our wedding is cancelled, can we receive our deposit back?

Unfortunately, no. Deposits are used to reserve your date. Once we’ve reserved your date we are unable to accept new clients for that date.

What type of camera/equipment do you use?

We use professional Canon gear. Currently in our camera bags: Canon Mark III, anon Mark IV, Canon 50mm 1.2L, Canon 70-200mm 2.8 II L IS, Canon 35mm 1.4 L II, Canon 24mm 1.4 L, Canon 100mm L, Canon 17-40mm L, Canon 85mm 1.4 L, Canon 24-70 2.8 L II, Canon 85mm 1.8,

Do you provide RAW files?

We provide you with a set of fully edited high resolution images. We pride ourselves in delivering the best quality product and our editing process is a big part of it – that’s why we do not provide any unprocessed RAW files or JPEGS to our clients. However, we can provide RAW files for an extra fee of $1,500.
